Restaurants, Beachclubs & Foodtrucks
There are so many great restaurants and beachclubs on Bonaire and it is impossible to name them all here. We have eaten delicious food at the following places.
On Bonaire you can also go to one of the many food trucks, at the most beautiful beaches. Fill the provided cool box and take the beach chairs with you from Watervilla Blou Bonaire and enjoy a delicious meal with a beautiful view.
The Dock Bonaire
Across from Watervilla Blou Bonaire, lies the beautiful resort Ocean Breeze. This resort has the nice restaurant The Dock Bonaire which you can walk to from the villa (a short distance along the road and you are there). You can go here for a nice breakfast, lunch or dinner. On Thursday evening there is a cozy BBQ Night.
Number Ten
For a delicious cup of coffee, your breakfast or lunch you have to be at Number Ten in Kralendijk. You can sit outside or cool down inside in the air conditioning. They have a very extensive menu with delicious dishes but also delicious pastries. The famous rainbow cake not only looks fantastic, but is also super tasty. Our tip: Choose the potato salad as a side dish with your sandwich, bagel or wrap, it is delicious!
Chogogo Beach Resort
A little further north you will come across the Chogogo Beach resort. A beautiful resort on a beautiful beach where you can snorkel really well. There is also a swimming pool with lazy river. You can buy a day pass to stay here for a day, but you can also make a reservation at one of the restaurants. For example, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Bari Beach Bar. If you have something to celebrate or just feel like dining extensively, reserve a spot at Bîna. Here you can enjoy the most delicious dishes, while the sun sets beautifully. Our tip: go for a surprise menu from the chef.
Ocean Oasis
At Beach Club Ocean Oasis you can relax on one of the beach beds with a view of the clear blue water. In the restaurant you can go for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On Friday you can go here for the Friday afternoon drinks that start at 5:00 PM with a happy hour. Every Sunday there is a Fish and Meat Market. Just like at a market, you can see everything in advance and make a choice.
Sebastian's Restaurant Bonaire
Sebastian’s Restaurant on Bonaire serves an international menu with a Mediterranean flair and local influences. All dishes are prepared with the freshest and mostly seasonal ingredients. The restaurant is located by the sea and you can even reserve a table on the pier. The view of the sunset here is breathtakingly beautiful. Every Sunday there is an Italian Night with homemade pastas and pizzas. Don’t forget to make a reservation in advance!
Hangout Beach Bar
At the beautiful surf beach Sorobon Beach you will find the Hangout Beachbar. The Hangout Beachbar has grown into a thriving and popular beach spot. With a well-stocked bar, a brand new open kitchen, with all kinds of sandwiches, salads and chef’s specialties, comfortable beach beds and the always-service-with-a-smile, this is the real Caribbean life.
Delfins Beach Resort
The Delfins Beach Resort is a beautiful resort with a number of good restaurants. The restaurants Brass Boer and Senang are owned by the family Boer, who are known for their star restaurant de Librije.
You can also eat at Delfins at Club Tropicana beach Brasserie. At the latter, you can often go to the campfire sessions on Monday evenings with musical entertainment by Jeroen Roevros (@jeroenopbonaire). Highly recommended!
Stoked Foodtruck
Near Watervilla Blou Bonaire you will find the super beautiful sandy beach at Amo beach. Every day from 12:00 to 20:00 you can enjoy the most delicious burgers at the food truck Stoked. This can be found in the big red double-decker bus. We ate a Blue Cheese Bacon burger and a Truffle Mushroom burger while enjoying a beautiful sunset. Really enjoyable!
Cactus Blue
Cactus Beach is a food truck that is also located near Watervilla Blou Bonaire, at Donkey Beach. Here they sell delicious wraps and burgers as well as fresh lionfish. This is fished by hand and this delicacy is therefore difficult to obtain. The lionfish is often sold out before noon. We drank a fresh juice with a delicious chicken wrap. Seats have been made under the trees, you have a beautiful view of the sea here.
